The perfect fruit salad for barbecuing in the garden or for any occasion.Never eat leftover food!This is one of my favorite fruit salad recipes because I think the sauce really helps.This salad will taste better if you soak it in juice for a long time.Best kept in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours before serving. enjoy.
° Half c fresh orange juice
° Half a cup of fresh lemon juice
° cup packed brown sugar
° 1 teaspoon grated orange peel
° 1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
° 1 teaspoon vanilla
° 2 cups diced fresh pineapple
° 2 cups strawberries, peeled and sliced
° 3 kiwi fruits, peeled and sliced
° 3 bananas cut into slices
° 2 oranges, peeled and sliced
° 1 cup seedless grapes
° 2 cups of blueberries
Bring orange juice, lemon juice, brown sugar, orange peel, and lemon peel to a saucepan over medium-high heat. Minimize heat medium-low, and simmer to slightly thickened, for 5 min. Remove from heat and stir with vanilla extract. Set aside to cool.
Place the fruit in a large clear glass container in the following order: pineapple, strawberry, kiwi, banana, orange, grape and raspberry.Pour the cooled sauce over the fruit.Cover and refrigerate for 3-4 hours before serving.
