This recipe came from a friend of mine, I have made these tons of times. They are always a hit. They do have to marinate over night, so plan ahead.
Ingredients
- 5 lbs. tender cut of beef, cut into 1 inch cubes
- 1 onion cut into 1 inch pieces
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 4 cloves garlic, diced
- 1 cup oil
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- salt and pepper
- 1 jar (16 ounce) taco sauce
- Chili Sauce
- 1 small can green chili
- 1/2 cup onion, diced small
- 3 garlic cloves, pressed through garlic press
- 1 jar taco sauce (16 ounce)
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- dash oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients except beef and onion in a large bowl, add beef and onion. Cover and let marinate over night.
- For the Chili Sauce
- Mix all ingredients & let sit overnight or at least for a few hours, in refrigerator, before serving
- Place meat and onion on skewers and grill
- Serve with chili sauce

Notes
I have added red and yellow bell peppers to the marinade and I have added mushrooms when I cooked the kabobs.
I have also made my own salsa and used it in place of the taco sauce
