Holly Foutz Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 lb. unsalted butter
• 2 cups brown sugar, packed
• 2 cups sugar
• 4 eggs
• 2 teaspoons vanilla
• 4 cups flour
• 5 cups oatmeal- blend in blender
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 2 teaspoons baking soda
• Milk chocolate chips & Walnuts or
• White chocolate chips & macadamia nuts

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
2. Cream the butter and the sugars, until fluffy
3. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Add vanilla
4. In separate bowl combine flour, blended oatmeal, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Combine with a whisk. Add to butter mixture in 3 batches, mixing after each addition
5. Mix in chocolate chips and toasted nuts.
6. Drop by spoonful on a ungreased cookie sheet.
7. Bake at 375 for 10 minutes
