This is a finishing sauce, that means it is placed on the poultry just before taking it off the grill. If cooked directly over the heat, it will burn. This is great on legs, wings and thighs.
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 1/2 pounds chicken
Instructions
- Combine all the ingredients except chicken, in a sauce pan and heat on low. This melds the flavors and makes the honey more pliable.
- Cook the chicken on the grill when the chicken is completely cooked, move the chicken to the cooler side of the grill and brush on the honey glaze.
- Allow the chicken to cook on the cool side of the grill for about 10 minutes.
- Remove from grill and enjoy!
