This came from on of my favorite Young Women’s leaders. Gloria Hampton was such a special person. This is another recipe that starts with a cake mix. Amazing what you can create when you start with a cake mix.
Ingredients
- 1 yellow cake mix
- 1-20 oz. can crushed pineapple with juice
- 2 small packages instant vanilla pudding
- 3 cups milk
- 1-8 oz. package cream cheese, softened
- 1 small container Cool Whip
- chopped nuts or coconut, opt.
Instructions
- Mix cake as directed on package and bake as directed in a 9×13 pan
- When cake is done remove from oven and poke holes in cake with toothpick or chopstick and then pour crushed pineapple with the juice over the warm cake.
- Let cool completely
- When cake has cooled, in a small mixing bowl beat cream cheese until smooth. in a separate mixing bowl combine pudding and milk. When totally mixed add cream cheese and mix until smooth. Then blend in Cool Whip.
- Ice the cake with the cream cheese mixture and top with nuts or coconut
